CoCoCamp 2010

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August

The 3rd Friends of Cotteridge Park camp out

To finish the summer holidays in style Friends of Cotteridge Park, the Parks Department, Bournville Scouts and our neighbourhood police team are helping us plan this rather special event.

Camp fire, silly games, hot cocoa and singing are all lined up if you fancy a night out in the park. Spaces are strictly limited and booking in advance is essential. Click here for a booking form.

Last year 150 people had a go and here's what some of the campers had to say:

Hi there, My family and I have just returned from the camp and we would like to say a big Thank You to you all. It was our first time camping and we thought the set up was brilliant. We especially enjoyed breakfast and the camp fire. The children are now completely worn out and our four year old is crying because he wants to go again tonight! We hope you will do it again next year. Thanks again,

Thank you very much for organising the camp.  I think it was a splendid idea and I hope that it can be repeated next year.  The organisation appeared to be very good - for example, tents were pitched in an orderly fashion leaving clear paths around the site and to/from the road/toilets/etc.   The timing was also good - earlier in the summer the later sunsets can be a real problem when trying to settle little children in a tent.  Could you please pass on my thanks and appreciation to the scouts: the breakfast was excellent.

We really enjoyed the camp at the weekend.  Thanks for organising it.  The atmosphere was really nice and we thought that the event was very well organised, the activities for kids were very welcome and seemed to suit all ages.  The breakfast was great too!

We loved cococamp. My favourite bit of the camp was being there with everyone, and we could all just sit round and talk by the fire. (Robin age 12). Yes, by far and away the most magical thing is the chance to spend some time dong nothing with your neighbours. The worst bit of the camp was the long trek to the toilets (Todd, age 11). Personally, I didn't use the toilets, I popped home ( Rachel age 40)
